Crash hurts two in Oneida

Alcohol was reportedly involved in an early Thursday, March 18, morning crash on WIS 54 and VanBoxtel Road in Oneida.
Kent Cornell, 19, De Pere, ran the stop sign at the intersection according to Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department reports.
A passenger in the car, Denise Densing, 19, Green Bay, was listed in serious condition at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. Cornell was in fair condition.
Cornell’s car hit a westbound semi truck on State 54. The truck driver, Ronald Tayek, 40, New London, was not hurt.
Cornell was cited for driving while intoxicated and for failure to stop for the sign.
