Bellin honors Clausen, four from Seymour

Shiocton wrestling coach Eric Clausen will be honored as Coach of the Year at the Bellin Night of Champions Award Banquet May 16.
Clausen and four winners from Seymour will be honored at the ninth annual banquet to be held at the Lambeau Field Atrium.
Tickets for the dinner can be obtained from Denise Ellis, trainer at Seymour High School, or Jane Redlin at Bellin, 430-4750.
Clausen led the Chiefs to their first Central Wisconsin Conference team wrestling championship in 2009-2010 and was named CWC coach of the year.
Seymour winners were:
Alaina Murphy, scholarship recipient. The $500 scholarship goes to senior student athletes who have maintained a GPA of 3.5 or above and who show a high degree of commitment to their academics, athletics, and community. Murphy has already signed a letter of intent to join the track program at Harvard.
Terry Marcks, Sue Primeau Sports Enthusiast Award. The award goes to a person or group who must show great devotion, care, and support of their high school athletic programs.
Maggie Blohm, female breakthrough athlete of the year. Blohm, a sophomore, is a swimmer and a regular in varsity softball where she pitches and plays infield.
Amber Hynnek, female comeback athlete of the year. Hynnek, despite a knee injury that kept her out of swimming in the fall, returned to start at defense for the Bay Area Ice Bears hockey team, which went to the WIAA state championship game in its first season,
