DOT clarifies WIS 47 project

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has issued the complete designation of where passing lanes will be added during reconstruction of WIS 47 in Outagamie and Shawano counties. They are:
Outagamie County
• Southbound between 1,100 feet north of Brusewitz Road and 1,000 feet south of CTH G.
• Northbound between 1,000 feet north of Old 47 Road and 1,600 feet south of CTH VV.
Shawano County
• Southbound between 2,200 feet north of Old W Road and 4,000 feet south of CTH S.
• Northbound between 2,700 feet north of Landstad Road and 1,300 feet north of S. High Line Road.
The 17-mile project will start in June and go through early November. A detour around the entire project runs via WIS 54, WIS 55 and WIS 29. A detour starting at CTH S will be placed for this summer’s sewer main work along Main Street in Black Creek.
Next year, Main Street from Burdick Street to the north village limits of Black Creek will be reconstructed in May and June. Traffic will be controlled by flag workers in the area.
