Thunder wins track triangular

Seymour won a girls track triangular April 27 at Shawano while the boys team finished second in its event.
Seymour’s girls had a score of 78.5 to 54 for Denmark and 47.5 for Shawano.
Winners for the Thunder included Rachael Behnke in the 100 meters (13.6 seconds), Alaina Murphy in the 200 (26.96) and 400 (59.12), Justine Mehojah in the 100 hurdles (16.61) and 300 hurdles (47.95), the 400 meter relay (56.67), 800 meter relay (1:55.59) and 1,600 meter relay (4:12.21); Ashley Effa in the pole vault (10 feet, 6 inches), and Jessica Maroszek in the shot put (43-1.5) and discus (151-10).
The boys were downed by Shawano, 79-56, with Denmark third at 50.
Casey Blohm won the 800 (2:06.55), Nick Effa tied for first in the pole vault (11-6), Hunter Effa took the long jump (18-8), Grant Havard the shot put (47-0.25) and the Thunder got wins in the 400 (49.21), 800 (1:40.34) and 1,600 (3:44.95) relays.
The Thunder hosts Hortonville and Oconto Falls on Tuesday and the Seymour Invitational on Thursday.
