A telephone pole along Pearl Street in Seymour was blown down by high winds Wednesday, May 5. Firefighters called to the scene removed the pole. High winds also loosened other wires in the area including one on Robbins Street. The high winds came a day after strong but fast-moving storms blew through the area. The storms postponed a Seymour Thunder girls soccer game at Hortonville, which will be played May 10.
