Another storm, another flood

Main Street in Black Creek was a river after a downpour on Aug. 20

For the second time this summer, heavy rains led to flooding in Black Creek. About six inches of rain fell Friday, Aug. 20, in two waves during the afternoon. All routes into the village were blocked and several houses had flooded basements. Roads were open by 10 p.m. except for the WIS 54 underpass. Main Street, left, again saw flooding, while the front yard in Margaret Rohm’s home on Mullen Road not only saw a flooded lawn but damaged trees from high winds that accompanied the storms.
