The Black Creek Business Association has purchased 10 new holiday street decorations for the Village.
There are two varieties of snowflakes that are 6 feet tall.
When Santa Claus comes to Black Creek this year on Monday, Dec. 1, at 5:45 p.m., he will be lighting up the new decorations as he travels, escorted by the Fire Department, from State Hwy. 54 to Burdick Street and ending at BMO Harris for a tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. Santa Claus will be at BC Auto Body after the tree lighting to listen to the children’s wishes while his elves hand out goodie bags.
Black Creek Fire and Rescue, The Black Creek Advancement Association, along with other business and organizations will be hosting the Black Creek Community Christmas Festival.
At BMO Harris from 5:30 to 8 p.m., children can do activities and listen to stories read by the Black Creek Library staff and make ornaments that can be hung on the tree inside BMO Harris or bring them home. The Black Creek school choir will be singing carols and the Black Creek Lions and the Brownie Troop will be serving up refreshments.
Canned goods and non-perishable items will also be accepted for Community 2000.
