Greg Schoettler recognized for his years of service

The board met on Monday, April 10 at 6 p.m.
Greg Schoettler was recognized by the board for his nine years of service and dedication on Shiocton’s Board of Education. Mindy Hofacker will take his place.
In reports, Elementary School Principal Kim Griesbach gave an update of summer school which will run from June 5 – 30.
In new business, the board discussed and took action on the baseball team’s trip to Illinois on April 13 – 14. The team will be competing with other high school teams in Galesburg and Princeville, Illinois. The board approved the trip.
They also discussed the School Board Scholarship. Applications will go out to the students interested. Each student applying will be graded on a point system and the student with the most points will be awarded the scholarship on the night of the senior awards.
In Upcoming events, the After-School Child Care presentations by the Boys and Girls Club of the Fox Valley is on April 19 and 25 at 6:30 p.m.
The Finance Committee meeting is on April 19 and 24 at 5 p.m. in the LMC.
Prom is on April 22, the high school play will be performed on April 25 and 26 and the Family Health and Safety Night will be on April 27 from 5 -7 p.m.
The next regular meeting is April 24 at 6 p.m. in the LMC.
