Thunder soccer 2-1 in Bay conference

On Thursday, April 13, Seymour hosted Green Bay East.
In the 29th minute, Kyla Ryan scored on a well hit free kick which proved to be the only goal of the first half.
In the second half, Megan Struble drew a foul in the penalty area and Ryan got her second goal by converting on the penalty.
In the 60th minute, Sophie Skenandore stole a pass, beat a defender and set up Porta Fenske for a shot into the back of the net for her first goal of the season.
Then in the 70th minute, Alyssa Wendorff finished a shot nicely after getting an assist from Joelly Lemmens.
Sophie Skenandore made two saves in the first half and MiKayla Pennings did not have to stop any shots in the second half.
Seymour is now 2-1 in the Bay Conference.

West De Pere 4
On Tuesday, April 11, Seymour soccer traveled to West De Pere.
The game did not start well for the Thunder and at 9:46 a ball went through the hands and legs of goalie MiKayla Pennings and into the goal.
West DePere got another goal in the 18th minute. The score stayed 2-0 through the first half.
In the second half, Kyla Ryan was able to score on an excellent free kick. It was about 25 yards out on the right side and she put it over the keeper into the far side netting. Unfortunately, the defense got broke down and West DePere scored just two minutes later and then again four minutes after that. The score ended 1-4 with the Phantoms looking like a very solid team.
Thunder coach Todd Messner said the Phantoms will be tough team for anyone to beat in the Bay Conference.
