Black Creek’s first ever Fall Village-Wide Rummage Sale

In response to community requests, Black Creek Advancement Association will be organizing the first-ever fall Village-Wide Rummage Sale this September. Slated for Saturday, September 9, the fall version of the sale will run in a similar fashion as the spring event.
“Since our first year in 2012, we’ve been asked to organize a fall sale in addition to the traditional spring one,” said Teresa Riehl, BCAA member who runs the event. “We’ve hesitated in the past because we haven’t been able to gauge enough interest to cover costs. This year we think the interest is there and we’re going to give it a try.”
Officially, the event will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the September 9. However, participants may begin sales earlier, end them later or run them for more than one day. The event will be held rain or shine, and maps showing the location and listing details on each registered sale will be available earlier in the week so shoppers can map out their treasure hunt ahead of time. Businesses are encouraged to run sidewalk sales or other promotions and community groups, churches and other organizations are encouraged to hold fundraisers or other activities on the same day.
More information about registering sales on the official map will be available in late July. Questions about the sale can be directed to Riehl at 984-3130 or by emailing the BCAA at BCAdvancement@hotmail.com.
