Extended park hours approved for the 2017 Harvest Festival

The Shiocton Village Board approved the First Congregational Church Map for four residential lots which are about an acre a piece on their property on State 76 and Morgan Street.
At their July 10 meeting, the board also approved the hours of the baseball field opening an hour earlier at 6 a.m and closing at midnight on Friday, August 18 and Saturday, August 19 and 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, August 20.
The board denied the request from Trisha Conradt to obtain her liquor license due to prior police reports.
The Chief reported that National Night Out is on August 1, 2017. Officer Knapp is putting the event together. Pahlows are donating the bounce house for the kids.
Village President Terri James explained the new procedure for complaints and/or concerns asked to be put on the agenda.
President James encourages residents to attend board meetings and to voice their concerns but also feels they should be documented so it can be referred back to if ever brought up again in the future. Complaint/concern forms will be available on the website (www.shiocton.org) and the Village Hall.
Laurie Bunnell, village clerk reported that although the village owns the terrace areas, property owners are required to do any maintenance that trees on their terraces may need.
The board is still investigating the possibility of crosswalks to certain intersections in the village.
Operators Licenses were approved for Jamie Dontje, Rachel Heath, Rebecca Levandoski and Ryan Young.
The next meeting is scheduled for August 14 at 6 p.m.
