Stuff the Bus to help children in need of school supplies

In an effort to help local families in need this fall, American Family Insurance – Dawn Leudtke Agency, Kobussen Buses and Community 2000 are teaming up to collect school supplies for the back-to-school season.
Kobussen Buses will be providing a bus and it will be parked at Don’s Quality Market on Friday, August 4, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and again on Saturday, August 5 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and the public is invited to purchase school supplies to help “Stuff the Bus” with those supplies.
The school supplies will then be distributed to local children in need before school starts for the fall.
In case the bus location doesn’t work for everyone, there are various collection boxes in the surrounding communities. In the Shiocton area, boxes are located in the Village Hall and the Shiocton Public Library; in Black Creek: Village Library and Sal’s Foods; Nichols area: Community First Credit Union and in the Seymour area: Muehl Public Library, Don’s Quality Market, American Family Insurance-Dawn Leudtke Agency and Community 2000.
Last year enough supplies were donated to help provide supplies and backpacks for nearly 150 students, both children and adult alike.
If you are looking for assistance, please call Community 2000 on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursdays from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at 920-833-0277.
