New teachers hired

The board had a meeting on Monday, November 6 at 6 p.m.
There was an presentation of a donation made by the Lions Club for $1,000 to the student council for the food and toy drive. Student council student Jordan Ott accepted the donation. The Lions Club makes a donation every year, and the school really appreciates their generosity.
In new business, the board approved the resignation of Dawn Kanaman as assistant softball coach and motion was granted to rehire her as varsity softball coach.
The board took action and approved the hiring of Debbie Tracey as fourth grade teacher and Konnie Free as sixth grade teacher.
These two teachers who are retired graciously stepped forward to help out the school district and will finish out the 2017-18 school year. The school will look for new hires for the 2018-19 school year.
Superintendent Nichole Schweitzer brought to the board the projected three year forecast with different scenarios, for the board to review and discuss at an future meeting.
In upcoming events the vision committee meeting is on November 13 from 5:30 – 9 p.m. with a light dinner.
The next regular meeting is Monday, November 20, at 6 p.m. in the LMC.
