Memory Cafe’

It’s the season for music and memories! We will play the chimes and bells as we share holiday tunes. Feel free to bring and share your favorite treat and we will be sure to bring ours too. We will create a special gift for you to keep or to give to a special person in your life.
Memory Cafe’s are a social gathering place for persons with memory loss, mild cognitive impairment, early Alzheimer’s, or other dementia and their family and friends.

The nature center’s interpretive building and office will be closed on the following days:

Trails will remain open, sun up to sun down, on those days.
Take a Walk on
the Dark Side

Saturday, Jan. 6
6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
So many people use our trails during the day, but things look and feel different after sunset. Experience the dark side of Mosquito Hill with an after-dark walk with naturalist Steve Petznick. Steve will share basic astronomy skills for locating constellations and wandering stars. He’ll discuss nocturnal wildlife while you listen for owls. Light refreshments will follow.

Cost: $6/person, $4/students, seniors, FOMH
