The seventh grade classes at Black Creek Middle School do a Kindness Unit in December. One of the activities they do is buy a pair of Bombas socks. Why? The creators of Bombas discovered that the number one item homeless shelters need are socks. So two men decided to develop the best sock and two and a half years later decided to sell them with the stipulation that if people buy a pair of socks then one pair would be donated to homeless shelters. Their hope was to donate a million socks in ten years, but they made that quota in just two and a half years. Today, they have sold and donated over five million socks in three and a half years. Black Creek’s seventh graders decided to add to that number and bought 24 pairs and 24 pairs were donated.
