Honor recognizes those who better life in Black Creek
For the 22nd year, Black Creek Advancement Association is sponsoring the annual Citizen of the Year program, which aims to recognize the accomplishments of people who give their time and efforts to projects, organizations and events that improve the quality of life and sense of community in Black Creek. Past winners, including individuals and couples, have been Black Creek residents or lived outside the village. All actively contributed to worthy community projects and affairs; many were recognized for working tirelessly behind the scenes to help people without recognition or credit. What they had in common was vision, leadership, talent and a spirit of service to the community.
To nominate someone you think is worthy of the 2018 Citizen of the Year Award, use the form that appears in next week’s edition of the Advertiser Community News, which is co-sponsoring the award with the Advancement Association, or write your own nomination that includes the name and qualifications of the nominee. Nominations will be accepted at BMO Harris Bank, 101 N. Main St., Fox Communities Credit Union, 502 S. Main St., and Black Creek Village Library, 507 S. Maple St.; or by mail to BCAA, c/o T. Riehl, 501 N. Main St., Black Creek, WI 54106, until 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16.
The winner will be announced in a future edition of the ACN, will appear in the Family Daze parade in June, and will be honored at a banquet later this spring.
