Seymour Boy Scout Troop 11 and its sponsoring organization, Emmanuel Lutheran Church are proud to announce that Paiton Thibodeau of Seymour earned the rank of Eagle Scout on December 21, 2017. Paiton is a junior at Seymour High School. there are 21 required merit badges needed to become an eagle scout. Paiton went above and beyond with a total of 31 badges. For every additional five badges palms are earned meaning he also received the bronze and gold palms. Paiton’s eagle project was desigining and building a wooden storage box for hunting supplies. The box was built for the non-profit organization Challenge the Outdoors. He also assisted a blind young adult with deer hunting. Paiton would like to thank Kent Sherman for mentoring him with his project. He would also like to thank his scout leaders, fellow scouts, and parents for all their help over the years.
