Barbara Schuh is the the new clerk for the Village of Black Creek. As she has started her new position Schuh took some time to answer questions about herself and her position.
What did you do previously?
“I worked for the Village of Black Creek as the Deputy Clerk from June, 2015 to March 2018. I went to Outagamie County Treasurer’s Office in March, and have been back at the village since late September.”
Any comments on the upcoming election?
“I have worked as a poll worker in past elections, and am looking forward to a good voter turnout in the upcoming general election. The village has new election equipment, purchased just last year, that I am excited to be working with. I believe it enhances the voter experience, while significantly decreasing the number of errors marked on a ballot. We have knowledgeable, friendly election workers in the village, and I look forward to working with them again not only in the November election, but for years to come.
“I am truly excited to be back with the Village of Black Creek, and enjoy seeing people as they come in the office for a variety of reasons. With the election upon us, and budget under way, it is a busy time of year, and I am enjoying it all!”
How is your new position going so far?
“The village employees have been very friendly and welcoming, as have been the residents and business owners. I look forward to catching up on the events of the past few months, and moving forward to provide good customer service and building great working relationships.
Do you live in Black Creek, any family?
“My Husband, John, and I have lived in the Town of Black Creek for eight years now, we have four children; Justin, 24, MacKenzie, 20, Joshua, 10, and Sophia, 9.”
