Shiocton High School students are getting ready to show off their acting skills performing the play “Par For The Corpse.”
Senior Paige Stein who plays Shauna Wilson said she has been in plays since her freshman year. She said, “I like performing in front of people and public speaking and may act in community plays after high school because I enjoy doing it.”
Stein said that the other cast members inspire her to do her best, and she stated that it’s not just about her but her fellow performers as well, it’s their show too.
Senior Megan Pigsley who plays co-lead Lily Pearce said she also has been in several plays since her freshman year. She said, “In middle school I was very shy and my teacher asked me to join forensics as a competitor actor, what better way to share my acting skills that I learned in forensics by performing in plays.”
Pigsley plans to go to Marquette University for Bio computing engineering after high school but plans to act in community theater occasionally.
Pigsley said a lot of her teachers inspire her along with Actress Emma Watson and Actor Hugh Jackman.
The play is a dry humor murder mystery that takes place at a golf course during a storm.
It debuts on Friday and Saturday, March 22 and 23 at 7 p.m.
