Forensics students perform for school board

The Shiocton School Board met at 6 p.m. on April 22 in the Library Media Center of the Shiocton Schools.
In reorganization of the board, Brad Ritchie was elected as president, Jeremie Birch was elected as vice-president, Mike Bellin was elected as treasurer and Dave Gomm was elected as clerk.
The Selection of the Official District Newspaper was the Times Press and the selection of the District Depository is the Wolf River Community Bank.
The Forensics Club students gave some of their performances to the board. Coach Johanna Funk said they did very well at state, they received two gold medals and four silver.
In new business the board took action and approved the resignation of Terry Schwaller as the Quiz Bowl Advisor.

Steps for Suicide Awareness is Saturday, May 4, 10 a.m. at the gym.
Finance Committee is Monday, May 6 at 5:15 p.m. in the Library Media Center (LMC).
Spring Craft Fair – Shiocton-Bovina Fire Department is Saturday, May 11 at 9 a.m. in the cafeteria.
Graduation is Sunday, June 2 at 1 p.m.
The next school board meeting is May 6 at 6 p.m. in the LMC.
