Strong start by Track and Field Team

The Seymour track and field team has had a strong start during the first three weeks of the season.
The boys traveled to the Oshkosh Titan where Logan Mattson won the high jump with a 6-4 jump, Ty Wittuhn won the triple jump with a 42-05.25 foot jump and Joe Coonen won the 60m dash with a time of 7.21.
The girls traveled the next day to the Steven’s Point Invite where Erin Schuh started the season strong with a second place finish with a 9-6 vault.
For the boys Steven’s Point Invite, Mattson tied for third in the high jump.
The following week, we hosted our indoor triangular where the boys won the meet with strong finishes with Coonen winning the 55 dash, Mattson winning the high jump, Blake Linsmeyer winning the 1600m, Cody Roskom winning shot put, Cole Solem winning the 400m, Riley Volkman winning the 800m, Wittuhn winning the long jump and triple jump, Schuh winning pole vault, Volkman, Riley Clement, Linsmeyer, and Jack Dudley winning the 4x800m relay, Mason Krabbe, Linsmeyer, Krull and Josh Molle winning the 4×400 relay, and Molle, Krull, Mason VanDeKolk and Mattson winning the 4×200 relay.
The Girls headed to Oshkosh Titan where Schuh finished first in pole vault.
Finally, this past week, we hosted our indoor Invitational meet. The boys finished second and the outstanding finishers were, Coonen winning the 55m meter dash, Mattson winning the high jump, Schuh winning the pole vault, Wittuhn winning the long jump and triple jump, Clement, Volkman, Dudley and Linsmeyer winning the 4x800m relay; Molle, Krull, VanDeKolk and Mattson winning the 4x200m relay, and Volkman, Clement, Linsmeyer and Dudley won the 4x400m relay.
