With the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) to over 400 people in the State of Wisconsin, Gov. Tony Evers latest announcement calls for all workers in the State to work remotely from home to help avoid the spread of the pandemic outbreak.

This latest news story of the many coronavirus stories that are being published has hit home here at the Times-Press.

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we, here at your local newspaper, will be closing our doors to customers and will take a hiatus from publishing our weekly print edition of the Times-Press.

“We have taken steps to limit potential exposure and the spread of the virus (COVID-19) and closed our doors to the public during this time,” said Publisher Ken Hodgden. “We have also asked our reporters to work remotely from home as much as possible.”

Being the main communication tool for the area communities, the newspaper is going to take a different direction the next couple of weeks and will be posting news stories, submitted articles and such at our website and Facebook page.

“We will, for a period of time, stop printing the Times-Press but will continue to provide you with local news daily,” Hodgden said. “These precautionary measures have been taken to limit the potential spread of COVID-19 and to ensure that we can continue to serve our communities in the long term.”

Readers can go to as the reporters will continue to focus to provide local news and updates on your community.

We will do our part to continue to provide you the news the best way possible and ask that you all “stay safe, smile and keep a social distance of six feet.”
