Title: FBLA attends State Leadership Conference

Seymour Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members traveled to LaCrosse, to compete at the State Leadership Conference.  
The conference started with getting motivated by listening to Dr. Matt Bellace, he motivated students by focusing on the natural ways that students can be energized by life.  The two day conference had workshops and tours for members to attend to increase their business knowledge as well as compete in business events. Also at the conference students were able to raise money for the March of Dimes through a Miracle Minute and participate in a Digital Scavenger hunt to show their tech savvy skills with photograph.  Seymour was privileged to have a state officer this past year.  Taylor Noeller served this past year as the state secretary/treasurer. 
Students who place in the top two of each event earn the right to compete at National Leadership Conference.  This year’s National Leadership Conference is being held in San Antonio, Texas on June 29–July 2. Students who have competed are on their way to a “Gateway of Greatness.”
Erica Blohm and Mikenna Winkler – Business Ethics 2nd Place,   *National Qualifiers.
Taylor Noeller and Jenna Golliher — Business Plan 2nd Place, *National Qualifiers.*
Rachael Wendt, Electronic Career Portfolio, 3rd Place; Megan Hovell, Accounting I, 4th Place; Madilyn Heinke, Public Speaking I, 4th Place; Lizzie Tesch, Public Speaking II, 5th place; Charissa Hilgenberg, Erika Rettler, Melanie Wichman, Business Financial Plan,  7th place; Bryanna Woldt, Job Interview, 8th place; Tessa Ziegler, FBLA Principles and Procedures, 13th place; Taylor Moeller, Melissa Weyland, Marketing; and Jack Krull, Katelyn Garza, Business Presentation also competed at the event.
Seymour High School tied for 11 out of 96 schools competing at the State Leadership Conference.
