St. Pierre & Miquelon “Expedition”
Well, maybe not exactly not an “expedition”, but almost like one! Gravel roads, ferry crossings, moose sightings and Zodiac rafting made for an exciting trip for the VandeVyver’s of Black Creek. To get to St. Pierre they needed to take a ferry out of Fortune, Newfoundland. To reach Miquelon they had to take a Zodiac raft. Mike does not suggest driving a low car on the roads there, they used an all-wheel drive van and wore out all the brakes, broke the driver side window and could not open the rear door due to all the dust! Mike recommends that you use a tent as many pull-behind campers were wrecked. You should plan on allowing three week and 6000 miles to completely enjoy this trip.
