Grass fire burns 20 acres in the Town of Maine

Stiff winds made it more difficult for the Shiocton-Bovina Fire Department to extinguish a grass fire on Tuesday, Jan. 10.

 A controlled burn near County M got out of control about 12:45 p.m. The blaze spread, burning about 20 acres of grass. No one was injured and no structures were damaged. Five fire departments responded. The...
