<p>The Shiocton Chiefs beat the Bonduel Bears 4-3 Friday afternoon to take its first WIAA Division 3 Regional Title since 1998. The girls will travel to Amherst to take on Iola-Scandinavia on Tuesday, May 28.
In Division 1, Green Bay East edged Pulaski 5-4.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[<p>The Seymour Thunder boys and girls track teams will participate in a total of 10 events at the WIAA Division 2 State Track and Field Championships on May 31-June 1 in La Crosse.
The boys squad qualified for eight events with first place sectional finishes at Little Chute on Thursday, May 23, by Hunter Effa in the long jump, Alex Bloom in the high jump and Sandy Cohen in the triple jump.

		<description><![CDATA[<p>Shiocton went on the road and pulled out an 8-6 softball win in eight innings over No. 2 seed Oconto on Tuesday, May 21, to advance to the regional final.
The Lady Chiefs, seeded No. 3, will play the winner of the Peshtigo vs. Bonduel game that was postponed yesterday and will be played today.
The regional final will be played on Thursday, May 23, at a site to be determined later.

Freedom won the meet with a score of 193 while Seymour had 135 points. The girls team placed fourth. Green Bay Notre Dame came in first with 188, while Seymour had 76 points.

They received their award at the 49th annual athletic awards banquet held at the Seymour High School on Wednesday, May 15.
Allison, the daughter of Mark and Annette vonBrevern, and Keenan, the son of Keith and Angie Moehring, each will receive a $1,500 scholarship.

<p>The Seymour City Council will not join the East Central Wisconsin Community Development Block Grand Regional Revolving Loan Fund.
The Council voted unanimously at its Monday, May 13, meeting to keep the city-operated revolving loan fund as it currently is operated.
The state’s proposal would require that the city turn over the money in Seymour’s fund to the regional entity which would then make the loans and collect payment. Seymour currently has about $225,000 in its fund.
